Its objectives are based on:
- Strengthen governments and other key actors' capacities in food systems, starting with the development of capacities in measurement mechanisms and national strategies to prevent food waste.
- Increase knowledge about food systems (“drivers” and impacts) and relevant policies and initiatives to integrate sustainability across food systems.
Part of the Committee for Latin America and the Caribbean for the Prevention of Food Losses and Waste – Led by FAO and UNEP.
